I am a full time RVer of 8 months, work from my home/RV and travel around. I had My first RV breakdown a couple of days ago. My starter was stuck in engage. Just kept on trying to start while already started. Draining the battery. I called my Progressive road side assistance for help. Well they couldnt jump it due to the starter being stuck in engage. They hammered the starter a bit trying to get the bendix to do something different. That did not work. So we all determined it had to be towed for service. I have a Class A 32. I wasnt anywhere I knew to get service so opted to have it towed to my Parents about 65 miles away, and of course during Seattle traffic. Well Progressive only covers 15 miles, which I was not told when I signed up. So I had to pay it all. When they tow they also have to drop the drive train so as not to blow up the transmission. He dropped the u joints, a bunch of tiny little needles in there, now u joints have to be replaced as well. Sharing for the knowledge if this can help someone in the future. Now to get things fixed and back on the road for the next adventure!
