I am a huge fan of TED talks. I consume them often. If youve watched enough, you get left with optimism and indignation at the same time. Heres the answer! Why arent we doing it? This talk does a good job explaining why. You must reconcile great ideas with the complexity of actually getting anything done, along with unintended consequences. I read TEDs rebuttal of this talk and while I understand their position, they would have been better off recognizing their limitations and striving to make these events more effective. Despite the great intentions, TED also has an ideology, and being a group like any other, does not like it being questioned. Thats a shame....
