I am a karateka. I have been this for 50 years and will live out my days as such and nothing will or can deter me from this path. I have read the content of this post that I am sharing and my views are as follows: When politics is brought into karatedo, there will be corrupt politicians feathering their own nest at the expense of karatedo. When sport is made into the be all and end all of karatedo, administrators become the rulers. Karatedo is an art, a philosophy, a fighting system and a lifestyle. It should be left as such with no interference from those who do not practise the above on a daily basis.
