I am a light sleeper and today at about 4 am I hear some guys - TopicsExpress

I am a light sleeper and today at about 4 am I hear some guys yelling outside. I get up out the bed and walk into the living room. The yelling increases. So I peek through the window next to my computer and I see three guys walking up to my car. One of the guys starts kicking my car’s side window. Another guy jumps on the hood and starts kicking the front window. The third guy stands back and watches. I run to put my pants and shoes on and to get some backup but by the time I get to the front door the 3 guys are already running down the street. I was about to jump into my car and chase the guys but I noticed that my front window was kicked in. So I came back in the house and called 9-1-1. 30 minutes later a Sheriff arrives and informs me that the guys who vandalized my car were in custody. I was then told that the 3 guys had vandalized other cars in the neighborhood. The Sheriff asked me if I could identify the 3 guys and I told him that I could definitely identify the guy who kicked my front window in. The Sheriff then told me that he would be back to pick me up in a few minutes. It was about 5 am when the Sheriff picked me up to identify the suspects. The Sheriff drove me to a public parking lot where they had the suspects in custody. As I sat in the Sheriff’s car the 3 suspects were taken out of another vehicle one by one. An officer then put a spotlight on the 3 suspects. The 3 suspects looked scared. In fact, they were terrified. They were very young, maybe in their early twenties at most. I must add that there was a part of me that wished that I was their father because it was clear to me that the 3 young males lacked appropriate guidance. The Sheriff asked me if I recognized the first suspect and I told him yes. The Sheriff asked me if I recognized the second suspect and I told him no. The Sheriff asked me if I recognized the third suspect and I answered yes. They then put the 3 suspects back into the other car. I should mention that the 3 suspects could not see me because the car that I was sitting in had tinted windows. The Sheriff that drove me to the public parking lot got back into the car and drove me home. As we drove back I told the Sheriff that I felt sorry for the 3 suspects because they were young, afraid, and lost. I thought to myself, This is why it is important for fathers to be there to properly raise their sons.” The interesting thing was that throughout this whole ordeal I was not angry, scared, or vengeful. I just kept asking myself, What is the lesson in all of this? The lesson for me is that sometimes it takes a broken window for us to be able to clearly see the importance of our life purpose. My life purpose is clear. I am here to be a committed husband and father. I am here to help other men to be the best men that they can be. I am here to help other fathers to be the best fathers that they can be. I am here to help young boys come into manhood so that they may live a creative life not a destructive one. Instead of being mad about a broken window, instead of being worried about the fact that at this moment my family does not have transportation, I am inspired to continue to be in service to others. The Universe will take care of the rest. Love to you all and have a blessed week. Blessings always come when you see the sunshine beyond the storm. ~ Lenon Honor
