I am afraid I must apologise for Fridays letter in which I said I was going to stand as a parliamentary candidate. I was driven by anger and frustration without thinking about it for a few days, and decided rashly and wrongly to do something I am not remotely emotionally or psychologically ready for or capable of. It has completely knocked me for six, I apologise for my rashness and foolishness even though at the time I felt I could take it on the nose and just do it. I deeply regret writing the letter and apologise for misleading you.
