I am amazed daily how my faith is challenged by Satan and people who refuse His love. It reminds me of the story of Kind Joash of Judah and his Uncle Jehoiada. Jehoiada, a wise counselor, influenced Joash to live a God honoring life (2 Chron. 24:11, 14). The problem was that Joash did not embrace an honorable and God fearing life as his own. After Jehoiada died, King Joash left the house of the Lord (v. 18) and began to worship in a pagan way. He turned and became so evil that he even had Jeboiadas son murdered (vv 20-22). I know that there are many of us who, in ways that are similar, can think of people in our own lives that we try to help, or have tried to help, by showing them a better way. It is always good to have someone in our lives to help guide us toward faith and Christlikeness. The only true way though, is getting to know the Lord ourselves and learning to lean and rely on the Holy Spirit to be our guide (Gal 5:16). By doing this, then we are truly making our faith personal. I pray you all have a glorious and blessed day.
