I am amazed how this TV anchor can say that nurses are lazy. I mean, I couldnt even finish my nursing degree because of how physically and emotionally draining it is to become a nurse. Come to think of it, I could create businesses... But I couldnt be a nurse! With this in mind, we should all take a step back and realize that nurses are the most underrated members of our society. The fact that public and private sectors dont pay them a lot, does not mean that others can look down on nurses like they are glorified yayas. They are not. They took 4 years of schooling, just to be in that uniform. If anybody would just realize, taking a job as a nurse is an act of love and charity. Even if they are not paid top dollar in wages, nurses would rather still take care of you, do disgusting and unspeakable sacrifices just so you can be healed from disease... When they could do just about anything else that is more profitable, in a nicer work environment. I know Im not that special kind of person who could do that, but all nurses are. They are our modern-day heroes. I think its about time for people to lobby for the increase of nurses wages. Its time to give back our nurses their ROI for their college expenses, dedication and willingness to do the dirty work. Perhaps, we could give them back the prestige that they deserve.
