I am at a crossroads and need to make a decision: I can either take ownership of my life, take some chances, run in the dark and risk skinning my knees (figuratively), run into the fights worth fighting and possibly get my nose bloodied, and be strong and stand up for myself and learn to hold my head up high. In the end - I will be able to say that I lived my life with honor and integrity Or, I can continue to cower under the (oft imaginary) eye of all whom I believe judge my every move and decision, and hope against all hope that my actions and decisions (and very existence) arent a disappointment to others... Im 51, and want to live the rest of my life - not spend it staying safe inside a self-created prison of morbid mediocrity...
