I am being held hostage. I am over breastfeeding. Over. It. Put your hormones back in the holster - while my love of breastfeeding fades considerably by the day and my urge to wean grows in at least as much, I am not withholding boobage from my boy. Im not offering it, but not refusing it either - which basically means he gets it whenever, for however long, and takes however much HE wants. Even if some of my sanity is drained down through my milk to. I have said this so many times, if YOU enjoy breastfeeding or are practicing extended breastfeeding, my respect for you is immense and I am SO happy for you that your relationship with breastfeeding isnt as contradictory as mine. But yesterday, I was reading up on Gentle Mother-led weaning and starting to gain some confidence.... And then I woke up this morning with a milk blister on my nipple and excruciating pain from the blockage and resulting engorgement. Hence, why Im being held hostage. Anyway.. Send reinforcements.. or at the very least.. lanolin. -Stephanie
