I am confused on this issue, the news people at TYT assume everyone voting against Martin Luther King day was a racist, but the truth be told we have 10 National Holidays, and Martin Luther King Day and Columbus day really dont belong in the list in my opinion, all the others are Christmas thanksgiving, two to remember war dead Veterans day and Memorial Day , Our Indepenence , a day to remember the Presidents a day to celebrate labour and New years, so i would have voted against MLK day and against Columbus day neither have to do with our nations founding or our workers or our soldiers, now if they had named the day Civil Rights Day , and it was celebrated on his birthday but recognized all the hundreds and thousands of people who fought and died for civil rights i might be behind it being a national holiday, but MLK did not do it alone and recognizing him solely for the task is unfair to the thousands of others involved
