I am constantly amazed by my parents! My father in particular. Hes 83 years old, had surgery a couple of weeks ago for melanoma, is in a special boot right now because of his heal and knee pain, and is currently walking with a cane. On Sunday, my youngest son Cooper missed his flight back to New York City and without a second thought, before we could reschedule a flight, he was packed and ready for a road trip. They left Lexington on Sunday afternoon at 12:30, Colonel drove the first 6 hours while Cooper slept. Cooper took over in WV and drove into the city getting there around midnight. Colonel then walked up four flights of stairs, fell asleep and woke up at 7 AM. The next morning, he decided he wanted out of the city, so Cooper drove him to the Lincoln Tunnel (got out and took the subway to work) and Daddy got on the road! I called him at 9 oclock to see if he was going to the Columbus Day Parade and he was on the New Jersey Turnpike heading home. He drove all day alone, reached Lexington at 9 Pm last night, woke up this morning, received a call from Fayette County Schools and substitute taught all day today at one of the high schools! Love you Clenet Ellis ! You are amazing!!
