I am currently inflight, on my way to Missouri for the weekend. I had service late last night in Los Angeles, so I was quite tired, on my way to the airport. I couldnt wait to get to my seat, and catch some sleep. While I am seated, with my head down, I look up for a second and see Hip Hop/R&B singer Ray J boarding the plane. He was full of life, dressed his best, and engaging with everyone. Even though we are around the same age, he was looking like a TV ready celebrity and I was looking like a tired old man Immediately I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit speak to me, in a stern but loving voice, correcting me for not looking my best, and not being TV ready. As followers of Christ, we carry Him at all times and must be ready to reveal Him at all times. Especially in a city like Los Angeles, where it seems the cameras are always on. It was definitely a gut check for me, considering last night during service I spoke about shining bright for God, being an effective witness in all areas. I share this non-testimony, so you can be an effective representation (even in appearance) wherever you go. You are the light of the world, so look the part!!
