I am disgusted at how spineless the police and government are... Yesterday near MY local synagogue, a group that stated they where protesting for jobs, turned into a Anti-Semitic Race Protest, when they came within 200 yards of the Bushey synagogue. They stopped marching and pulled out Palestinian Flags, Screaming out Anti-Semitic remarks and abuse to all those around. People shocked at what was taking place, used there cars to block the roads in the attempt to prevent the now illegal protest from getting any closer to the Synagogue. One man shocked and appalled at the verbal and hatred abuse being hurled at him and others around him, went to intervene the Illegal protest and smacked one of the people saying the remarks. A local councillor who was at café, saw the event unfold and called the police. Once the police came they interviewed the group, who instantly said they were doing nothing illegal and where protesting for jobs and stated that this man assaulted them, to which he was then arrested. Police are now saying that they found no evidence race or religious crimes had occurred, even though they found Palestinian flags dumped in bins. Even though numerous people watched the event unfold, including the Councillor Leslie Winters who witnessed and called the police because of it. This is a blatant disgrace to the government and police who are failing to stop this behaviour from spreading, as they allowed the group to get away with spreading Anti-Semitic remarks and Racial Hatred and have ignored the facts brought to them by the people who witnessed what happened. The police are acting in a disgraceful manner who ignored the onlookers statements and facts presented and are doing nothing to reprimand the protest group that turned illegal. All this will do is inflame these peoples egos as they will get bolder knowing the government and police are doing nothing to reprimand them, for there actions of breaking the law. This is disgusting and as stated the police force and government are spineless, what is the point of having law enforcement if they are afraid to uphold there own laws especially if witness where present.
