I had my first day of training with the American Red Cross yesterday and I am well on my way to being a full fledged case worker! I learned so much! Did you know that if your house catches fire, even a small one, and you need to stay in a hotel for the night the ARC will pay for your hotel? They give out clothes vouches for Goodwill, too. I always wondered how Goodwill worked. I am amazed at the resources available through Red Cross that I never knew about! In about two weeks Ill have all my training and I will be ready to help out in disasters in my area!! I hope there arent any, but if there are, Ill be ready!
