I am enjoying the challenge to find and photograph sites on the National Register of Historic Places. I went to the website and found that this bridge is on it. Finding the bridge was a trick.... I had to drive over it twice to find it. This is on Mount Harmony Road in Southeast Sebastian County and it is still a very busy road today. Mount Harmony Road used to be the main way for folks to travel between Greenwood (and points West) to Booneville and on toward Little Rock. Before Highway 10 was there.... this was the main route. I dont think anyone knows for sure how old this bridge is, but I am guessing that the first vehicle over it was NOT gasoline powered.
