I am excited anticipating RAGE tonight presented by one of the greatest bands from this country - Punchbowls finest, THE HARD-ONS. I was privileged to attend their 30th anniversary gig in Sydney recently and they sure did not disappoint. Watch and rock out. ------------------------------------------------- THEYRE BAAAACK! In their first rage appearance since 1991, Sydney punks The Hard-Ons are returning to the red couch where they belong -- and this time, there will be nudity. Forming in 1984, The Hard-Ons crystallized their unique blend of hardcore punk and melodic power-pop by playing live show after live show. When they finally recorded their debut EP Surfin on My Face a year later, it kicked off an impressive string of consecutive No.1s on the Australian Alternative Music Charts (17 to be exact). There have been 30 years, lineup changes and even a song with Henry Rollins since their first show and they are still every bit the irreverent punks of yore. They are currently touring Australia with the original line-up in celebration of this 30 year milestone. The Hard-Ons try their hardest to keep the punk spirit alive, choosing tracks from The Clash, The Dammed and The Meanies. They round out their list with some Aussie classics, selecting songs from The Bee Gees, Masters Apprentices and Skyhooks.
