I am extremely happy to be appointed as the Artistic Drector & the Conductor of the Laguna Road School Chorus, and my wife, Irene, will work as the accompanist. It is my son, Ians school choir. Here is the information: Welcome to the Laguna Road School Chorus! The chorus was founded in 2005 and is under the Artistic Direction of Dr. Andrew Park. Dr. Park has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California with emphasis in Music Education, Music History, and Piano Performance. The Laguna Road School Chorus is a three time Gold Award recipient (2009, 2010, and 2011) and one Silver Award (2008) at the Forum Festival. The Chorus was one of only five choirs chosen to participate in 2012 Southern California Choral Festival in El Camino College, Invitational Youth Creating Harmony Festival in UC San Diego in 2013 and Invitational Children’s Choral Festival in Carnegie Hall, NY in 2014.. Children in grades 1-6 are invited to sign-up. Note: Auditions are required for kindergarten students. Choristers will learn music fundamentals, ear training, music reading, music theory, musicianship, and more. Additionally, your child will participate in exciting chorus activities and community service including concerts, festivals, assemblies and parties.. Rehearsal Information Primary Grades(K-3): Wednesdays at 1:00-2:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room Upper Grades (4-6): Fridays at 3:00-4:00 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) Uniform Information Choristers have a required uniform for all choral events. Girl: Choir shirt, choir skort, & choir tie (order all 3 with this form); navy blue tights; and navy or black closed-toe shoes. Boy: Choir shirt & choir tie (order both with this form); navy slacks, navy or black socks; and navy or black closed-toe shoes. About LRSCF The Laguna Road School Chorus Foundation (LRSCF), established in September 2010, oversees management & fundraising efforts of the chorus. LRSCF’s mission is to provide an opportunity for elementary school children to participate in a choral organization for a deeper appreciation of choral art and first-hand experience of making fine choral music together while developing musicianship through artistic performances of selected choral repertoire from different periods of music history. LRSCF’s vision is to develop a choral organization to participate in local, state, national, and/or international competitions.
