I am fairly new to quilting. All my fabrics were originally bought for me to make tops out of or to make porcelian doll clothes. So I either have pastel pink or blue or formal fabrics like satins. How in the world do you accumulate a variety with out going broke. The table toppers fabric cost me close to 47.00 an everything I seem to look at at the quilt shops are 9.99 to 14.99 a yard....I need cottons in normal colors an the the thrift shops have no fabric ...how do you accumulate? I would trade formal fabrics for some other colored cottons lol
