I am flabbergasted by President Obamas speech today. When he was asked by CBS about using his Executive Privilege to have laws passed due to having his hands tied by Congress and then proceeded to say that Congress controls the purse strings and he wouldnt be able to do what hed really like to, which is to reinforce the infrastructure (highways, bridges, schools and electrical grid) so he could get people back to work. I was dumbfound. Why didnt he use the Stimulus package when he first came into office to put people back to work? Thats when we really needed it!! If that was indeed what he was interested in he would have done it back in 2009. But no, he wanted to reinforce people to sit on their asses and collect the government dole out unemployment.
