I am frustrated beyond belief. These past elections meant a lot. There were too many important issues at stake. The future of many was depending on us and WE failed. I work with a lot of young people between the ages of 18 and 30. Today I decided to ask them two simple questions...DID YOU VOTE? HOW OLD ARE YOU? I did not want to know why, or whom they voted for. I asked 20 people these questions. 3 out of 20 voted. Even though I did not ask why, these are the reasons they gave me: I HATE POLITICS I DIDNT KNOW THE CANDIDATES OR ISSUES. I WAS TOO LAZY. I HAD OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO. To vote is a privilege, is our duty. So many people around the world would give anything to be able to vote an make a difference, to participate in the Democratic process. These kids simply DO NOT GIVE A DAMN! This election was decided by the old, right wing, pseudo Christian populace of this country. The young people handed over their future to the crazy, Tea Party, right wing, corporate thugs, who could not care less about them. The worse part, they are so ignorant, they do not know what they have relinquish. It is so overwhelmingly frustrating and sad!
