I am frustrated that the Aqua Freeze committee cannot come up with the money needed to actually have a pond hockey tournament this year. We need someone to step up with a donation of $5000 by Friday to be able to hold it. What a disappointment that with all the big companies that the residents support on a regular basis none have been willing to Get this done. This is certainly not a reflective on the smaller companies that have generously donated to help support the thousands of dollars we have begun to collect for the ice festival. This festival is very expensive to put together so the residents and nearby residents can enjoy a free family weekend. If you know of anyone willing to help us out, please let me know by Friday. After that the pond hockey will be out of the question. Please help, we have put in hours and hours of volunteer time to get this event together, and the city officials are just as enthusiastic as we are to be able to hold it. Without sponsors the pond hockey wont happen. The entry fees are not enough to support it either. Please share this if you feel like I do right now.
