I am glad to witness this special occasion of the 70th anniversary of one of few high achiving Tiv women. May God keep you strong for us Mama Agbo. Mrs R. Terundu Agbo, one of the foremost educators in Tivland, served as school principal in many secondary schools across the land where she moulded the character of several Tiv ladies who are presently excelling at the home front as worthy mothers and wives to high achieving Tiv men, and also served as a Commissioner in the former Benue State Teaching Service Commission before she retired from service many years ago. She also happens to be amongst the first three Tiv women to earn university degrees in the 1960s; Dr Mrs Amako and Mrs Rachel I. Achineku (1968), while Mrs Agbo earned a B,A. (Hons) Geography (1969). Born in the month of August like Chief (Dr) Mrs E. A. Ivase, Mrs Agbo also celebrates her 70th anniversary and one notable attribute of this great old lady is that she is one of the oldest among female car drivers in Tivland today and she still drives around in her own car herself at a time her age mates in the villages are using walking stick to move around. The oldest female driver in Tivland, Mama Atsor Nyamor, is incapacitated and does not drive again. Mrs Agbo is the eldest daughter of the late Shagbaor Ugor Iwoor who also happens to be the first Tiv person to own a car. __._,_.___
