I am going to be asking people about what they are tired of in most heroes and main characters. It seems most are told how they are special. Harry Potter, Harry Dresden, Gin Blanco, and many others from stories like Divergence, The Mage series, or Star Wars. Another thing I find is that you have them mostly powerless starting off, and for some reason they survive off of luck than talent. (If they are special, how is it that luck is their power?) There are so many books that have a love interest that is so wrong, like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Twilight series. (there is no way that most of what someone sees in the book is not what is real in normal life. Everyone should be able to see who likes someone else even when they would never admit it) Love is always different than obsession... (How often is that normal in a story? I mean really? Twilight, Dresden Files, and Percy Jackson showed more obsession than love...) So tell me what you are tired of seeing in most stories, whether television, movies, anime, or manga.
