I am growing weary of people who drop in to fling pooh in my posts and who then whine that I am not willing to listen to opposing views, as if I just acquired my own views yeaterday at the local market without considering the full range of what is available. That they mostly do not actually express views which can be in any way reconciled with the facts or a coherent set of underlying ethics, only makes their little tirades that much more annoying. I make all my posts public and am quite willing to let anyone have their say as long as they avoid profanity, blasphemy and ad hominem attacks, tonsay nothing of spaming my threads with endless comments which only regurgitate the usual propaganda peddled by MSM. To be clear, I do expect criticisms to be responsive and do not cede interloppers the right to frame or define the issues in a manner that entirely ignores or misrepresents my position. That is a cheap rhetorical trick which, when used by guests, is the height of bad manners. I dont treat mere idiocy as a capital offense but the moment it becomes clear that someones idiocy is little more than a cloak for beligerence or malice, they will be blocked. Even then, since most though not all of my gratuitous critics seem to orginate from the US, I try to apply baseball rules by allowing all but the most offensive three strikes before blocking them. All that said, I still wait in vain for a single articulate, informed and ethical critic to make a coherent case against anything I say. That may sound arrogant to some but that it does is more a testimony to the soundness of the causes I have come to embrace than any reflection of claimed superiority by me. I am nobody; I am only one of countless millions. For all intents and purposes, I am anonymous though I hide behind nothing. There are many people like me and many who are far more articulate and far better individuals than I. Like me, they too are largely anonymous. Though we are rarely heard and therefore anonymous, we are not isolated or alone; we are legion. For the most part we do not belong to any organization nor embrace any single ideology except the quest to see truth, justice and dignity prevail for all, including those who some might argue scarcely deserve it. Our distent power is inexorable and we will certainly prevail.
