I am happy to say today is my 6 year anniversary! 6 years of life without shooting heroin. I wish that so many who it killed were able to say that. Infact there was a 19 yr old addict Sam my band mate Rico was trying to help. He asked me to talk to him a year ago & try to warn him about what would happen to him if he didnt get clean. Rico thought it would help being I went through it. I gave Sam a real heart to heart & tried to really get through to him & to make a long story short I told him there are only 3 ways it will end if he didnt stop using. Hed end up in jail, dead or in an institution. Many I knew in rehab all died because they wouldnt stay away.. Well Rico told me 2 nights ago that Sam was arrested for armed robbery over the weekend. He robbed a deli right around the block from where he lived. Sam lived 2 houses away from Rico so he saw it happen. Sam is now locked up in Rikers & will be there for a long time. Sam was a really nice kid. Im posative that if not for heroin he would never have held a gun to anyone out of desperation of needing heroin. The sh!t is evil. You will do things you never imagined you would do. It really is pure evil. Lures you in by making you feel so good & then by the 3rd stage youre a demon willing to kill for it. Anyone using...please I urge you to get help...stop now. The end of your story will not be good if you dont. Spare yourself & those around you all the pain that will be in your future if you dont stop. You need to find something you love to do more than heroin. Im lucky & for me its music, but find something & if you cant find something, stop anyway & you will find it. Dont stop & your end is already written and its not a happy ending.
