I am here in Hyderabad India for a conference and programme on Leadership Development Programmes by 3rd world countries. There are delegates from 30 different developing countries all presenting ideas and discussing the methods and policies to achieve development. Believe it or not I learned that the United Nations is actually studding Trinidad as a case study for achieving human development, it is called woman leadership where the leader governs the people like a mother towards a child. This is because of the many social programmes Trinidad has such as the child life fund, free education, the proposed baby assistance, old age assistance, the school feeding programe, gender equality, free computers just to name a few. I am the only one here from the Caribbean and this is really a wonderful experience to interact with leaders and high ranking officials from countries such as Iraq, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Palestine, Mangolia, Nepal, Indonesia, Fiji, Tonga, Bahrain, Cuba, Cameroon, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, and Nigeria just to name a few. I must say that Trinidad is by far one of the most developed countries both in Human capital and infrastructure. I am really blessed to be a Trinidadian and our Government leadership and policies are focus on the people.
