I am in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania! It is 12:15. Today is the 50th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Tanzania. There is a lot of shooting in the city and not far from the hotel. I am thinking it is fire work and part of the celebration but it is sounding like more big guns and it is continuing! I hope it is part of the celebration of the Jubilee otherwise we may wake up to a different news! I am going to bed and hopefully nothing wakes me up until the morning!
