I am indeed overwhelmed with the mountains of help from the international community regardless of religion (USA Islamic Group is donating; other Middle East states have pledged too), race (Chinese-Singaporeans have reached out), cultural differences, territorial rights (Taiwan has donated amid Spratly conflict), civil and criminal issues (Hong Kong has provided aid amid 2010 hostage crisis), etc. Europe did not sleep. America did not procrastinate. The UN did not slumber, too, and private companies did not laze around. This is what defines humanity. This is what makes the world a world of people - one in times of devastation and catastrophe, ready to help rebuild what has been lost in Leyte, Samar, Ilo-Ilo, Cebu and Biliran. I have nothing else to say but Thank you to the kindness, the compassion, and the heart.
