I am lost at why people think that when Masire lamented that Botswana cannot afford to have a party that is led and run by a family, he was refering to the BCP. Isnt it the BDP that is leading now and is led by the son of its founder? Not only that, another son of the founder is a cabinet minister; together with their cousin; and sons of the founding members of the BDP in Kitso Mokaila and Masisi. The BCP has never been a family party and it will never be. If indeed Masire said this in reference to the BCp, then I have a serious problem with such logic. It is well known that it is the BDP that has a slogan, YARONA LE BANA BA RONA. Masire would know better about this becuase it his creation as a founding member of the BDP. Surely people tend to choose to hear something that suits their appetite, even if it has never been echoed.......
