I am not a frequent traveler to say the least..however I attempted - TopicsExpress

I am not a frequent traveler to say the least..however I attempted to purchase airline tickets on Tuesday through Expedia, which I use and have an account with. For some reason I was getting an error when using my debit card, I called my bank and they said it was Expedia, my account was fine ....so after a few attempts, I contacted Expedia by phone. I reached a young man who spoke English with a very strong accent. He was friendly and I thought helpful. I was on the phone with him for over 2 hours (there is 6 in our travel group) He advised that since I already had all the info in the system I should continue to allow him to assist otherwise I would lose my quote and the price had gone up since I started the purchase......After we completed everything including seat assignments I ask for the transactions numbers, he said he would email me immediately. I never received the email...The money was taken out of my checking account in 4 individual transactions..weird...I contacted Expedia yesterday. I was on the phone with them for over 4 1/2 hours....transferred to many supervisors and managers....no one could help. My bank confirms the money was directed to Expedia & US Airways....No one from either company can confirm this money. Tickets were not purchased and now I have to file a report with my bank and get a new debit card....I worked in customers service for over 15 years and Expedia has alot to learn.....Each time I was transferred within Expedia I had to start telling the story all over again...there is no record or phone documents kept....They can not confirm who the agent was I originally spoke to, even though I have a first name....Until yesterday I trusted Expedia, but I kind of think now there is this big office with hamsters running on wheels to keep it afloat...any suggestions.
