I am not a human trash can……….Do not deposit your trash into me….In other words if you don’t have anything positive or good to say… Keep it to yourself… Do not try to weigh down my spirit and steal my joy!!! Just by listening to gossip, you are participating. It is human nature to be curious and it is hard to not listen sometimes. We often use the excuse, “well it is t he truth”. Negative comments (even if they are true) are hurtful. Negative/Nasty comments about or to an individual brings you down. You have crawled down in the ditch with them and are wallowing around in the murky abyss with them. I am not perfect and I get tangled up in conversations that I wish I would not have taken part of….. Lord, help me keep my mind clear of the clutter of the world. Forgive me for anything I have done to hurt you or anyone else. Help me look past the people rejoicing when other “get what they deserve”, jealousy, bi-polar Christians (Christians that act one way at church and another way at home), back-biting, “better Christian that you” attitudes….Lord, walk with me… guide me… AMEN….. It is bad enough that the body o f Christ stays under attack by the enemy… but the body is destroying itself from the inside…. We wonder why people leave Church and don’t come back … this is why. When I walked in the world… There was less chaos in the Bars that I frequented. I am so frustrated with how “Christians” treat each other…. Why would anyone want to be a part of such self absorbed better than you attitudes…..? When it is all said and done... it doesn’t matter how many sermons you have preached, how many conferences you have been to, how many times you volunteered in the nursery, how many praise teams you have been on….. It will be how you treated people……. Matthew 25: 35-40 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ I am not telling you to let people who cause chaos into your “close-personnel” life, especially those who claim to be a brother or sister. But you can be nice to them and love them from a distance. Don’t crawl down in the murky darkness with them. Ephesians 5 : 7-17 “7Therefore do not associate with them, 8 for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of the things that they do in secret; 13 but when anything is exposed by the light it becomes
