Today we laid our beautiful grandmother, Thera Cartwright, to rest beside our beloved grandfather, Edward Cartwright. Granny passed away late Wednesday night after prolonged illness. She was a shining example of love and kindness. At times, she was a mother to us all and even if she had a thousand children and grandchildren, she had enough love in her heart to make each one feel as loved as the next. She made miracles at the holidays, preparing the most amazing meals of country cooking. A hard working woman, taking care of Pawpaw and herself. And the picture of the treasures of simplicity, not considering her wealth in money or material possessions, but in the love of God and her family. Granny you are missed but we know you are in a good place in good company. I love you, Granny. Enjoy your time in paradise with Pawpaw, Mandy, Maw Dot, and all the others that have passed on before us.
