“I am not on the ballot this fall.” “But make no mistake; - TopicsExpress

“I am not on the ballot this fall.” “But make no mistake; these policies are on the ballot. Every single one of them.” Obama “The bottom line is, though, these are all folks who vote with me. They have supported my agenda in Congress.” Obama Then there was this remark that I’m sure will be defended by many Blacks, because Michele Obama is Black, but they’ll ignore the clear divisiveness of the sentiment and the utter hypocrisy of it all; Speaking in a show whose motto is “Where Black Life Unfolds,” Michele Obama told the host Roland Martin; “And that’s my message to voters, this isn’t about Barack, it’s not about person on that ballot– it’s about you. And for most of the people we are talking to, a Democratic ticket is the clear ticket that we should be voting on, regardless of who said what or did this– that shouldn’t even come into the equation.” Really!!? Well isn’t that a wonderful feel good message from the First Lady of the United States! But wait, there’s more…. Martin asked, “So can we, if we go out to the polls, can we, say, we have a souls to polls on Sunday, can we do soul food after we vote?” Michele replied; “Absolutely. I give everyone full permission to eat some “fried chicken” after they vote. “…I think that a good victory for Democrats on Tuesday, you know, should be rewarded with some fried chicken.” I heard all these comments and I had one reaction….embarrassment. I was embarrassed for them. Anyway, regardless of what spin anyone chooses to place on any of this, the results are as follows; The Dems lost 7 seats in the senate and the GOP picked up 7 giving them strong control. The Dems lost 13 seats in the Congress and the GOP picked up 13, giving them even a larger majority. The Democratic shellacking on Tuesday night was not limited to Congress and the Senate as Republicans won races for governor across the US as well. Thank you Lord Jesus for hearing our prayers. If you didn’t pray and you voted for the GOP simply to bring some semblance of balance to Congress and the States, that’s cool too! Now it’s time to pass some legislation aimed at restoring middle class jobs and allow this coiled spring called the US economy to begin to release. If we can win the Presidency, it will be full steam ahead and this economy will explode in growth. Oh, and of course this will only benefit rich white men who want to oppress women, beat children, push granny off a cliff and do all they can to hurt minorities. Yep, that pretty well sums up the Democratic message.
