I am not (overly) concerned. Repeat, NOT (overly) concerned. But both of my sisters, their husbands and my 92 year old dad are on the Carnival Magic somewhere between Belize and Cozumel. This is the cruise ship that is carrying a guest who is a lab supervisor, who may have handled fluid samples from Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan. The ship was supposed to leave Belize at 5 p.m. yesterday. They stayed until midnight trying to negotiate with the government of Belize to let her off the ship to fly back to Texas. That did not happen. Word is, the woman is not showing symptoms and it has been 19 days since she MAY have processed the samples. The Carnival Magic is set to return Sunday. They are supposed to go to Cozumel today. Carnival is saying they were going to arrive around 10 a.m. and are setting sail for Galveston at 6 tonight. Wonder if they are getting off in Cozumel? Curious if any of you in East Texas have loved ones on the Carnival Magic.
