I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Philippians 4:11 Paul looked to what he could do to be content, not on what he should have. Sometimes our lack of contentment comes from emptiness inside. Examine yourself to see if the emptiness youre feeling is because you, unlike Paul, are not relying on Christ for strength. Perhaps you are expecting too much in the way of material goods. Ungratefulness can also rob us of contentment. The Bible tells us to be thankful in all things.
