I am not sure what I got myself into this weekend. I am going to do the MAD HALF MARATHON in Waitsfield VT. Its not the fact that I will be driving to my friends house tomorrow in Virginia Beach,and hoping not to get clobbered by Arthur. Its not that we will leave around 11 PM,head to Arlington Va to pick up another runner friend and then drive 9 hours to VT. Its the fact that this will be my FIRST LONG RUN since I got mostly over this bug I have had. And I picked a course that has MOUNTAINS. I got dizzy looking at the course profile,lol. Well, i have never been logical and normal, so at my age why start now. This will be my first trip to VT,and the temps for the race are in low 50s at the start,almost tights weather compared to what its been like here in Charleston. Wish me luck,I am going to need it.:-)
