I am not usually keen on anon rants but this poster is asking for advice... repost: Each day on my way to work I drive down Grouse Road from Hammerpond Road, which, as many will know, is a very narrow country lane and is dangerous as it is. The majority of drivers drive down this road courteously and at safe speeds, however on most days I pass a couple of small lorries, in particular an orange TNT lorry. Despite the fact the road is very narrow and with two cars passing it is tight and often only allows for one car at a time, these lorries do not slow, driving at high speeds down the centre of the road at you (even when they have space to stop and you dont). Today as I came around a bend I was met with a lorry coming straight at me cutting the corner on my side so that I was forced off the road to avoid being hit by him. After skidding I managed to regain control of the car and was very lucky I didnt hit anything, however the underneath of my car took a battering. This road, particularly since the bad weather, is getting more and more dangerous by the day and Im concerned that this its going to cause an accident if something isnt done about these dangerous drivers. These lorries seem to think they own the road and will drive at you. Who is the best person to raise these concerns with? Its very hard to get the registration of these vehicles as they are usually going too fast!
