I am on my way home as I just left a fundraiser for Hopes Door. (A shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence.) So many people came to support this cause. From all over Texas and the U.S.! One lady who bid on the studio tours we auctioned off came from Silicon Valley just for this event. She was moved to help and bring people together. (She won the tour- we were doing one tour but when others wanted it too - we sold three at $8500 a piece)!!! This is such an amazing audience. You dont have any idea how you bless people and me. Just your prayers have changed me this week. You know that it isnt about money. Sometimes the greatest act of giving is kindness, prayer or time. I was moved by the stories the board members told me about the many - literally HUNDREDS - of people who called from all over the country to donate $10, $20 or even $100 to support the shelter. This was the most successful fundraiser in their 25 years of operation. Bless you! Together we can change lives all over the country. We are going to help these shelters this Christmas. Our time is short and we are not going to waste a second of it. Thank you for being you. The woman from California told me on the way out: Good luck on Monday , I know whatever it is you are going to tell us it will all be okay. Yes it will be. I surrendered to Him. Whatever He has planned for me and my life, I am good with it, because He is the author of the greatest stories ever told. ...Our lives. Hope is just through the next door.
