I am on train to NYC to my job and I am overwhelmed still at 9/11 and the friends, family and people that were lost. I was in the Bronx getting ready to attend a Turner construction meeting for the Childrens Hospital at Montefiore and was chatting with Patrick Simon who was on his way to downtown Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge and we were talking about the crazy traffic (thank god u never made it to lower Manhattan to see ur friend) and I seen the plane hit (I was on the roof of a building as this is where the construction trailer was) with perfect view. I watched it not understanding what had just happened and then started to realize when I saw plane 2 hit. I went inside and asked for the radio so we could hear what happened and then we all watched it fall from the roof of the MAP building in disbelief. My sons school had called and they were on lock down so I watched then left to get him at this time I did not have cable so I went to Jan my neighbors house to watch this travesty unfold. Then remembering that my best friend Monty was suppose to be down there that day taking a disposition from someone who got hurt on the escalator that goes to the restaurant windows on the world I called him to make sure he was ok and found it had been moved to the next day. I will never forget this as It could have been me or many of my friends and I am soooo grateful it was not. I worked for Dean Witter Reynolds for years on the 65th floor of that building and I still cant believe its gone. We will always remember!!!
