I am only reposting this because the comments slamming the original poster (Time) for being a nitpicky nitwit are pretty awesome. Social media has leveled the playing field even for news organizations and politicians who now respond to public sentiment within 24 hour news cycles, almost like voting on American Idol... Im not a huge fan of the pageantry industry per se, but I get tired of all the knee-jerk beauty-shaming that sometimes passes for journalism, assuming that any attractive woman on television cant possibly be smart or worthy without her looks. That is myopic antifeminist thinking, though ironically sometimes propelled by women/feminists themselves occasionally....
