I am physically exhausted and mentally drained to say nothing of my credit card. My wife Losaline and part of my own family just barely walked back into our home after a week traveling to Boston for Moanas Harvard graduation. All 60 of us family members and friends had arrived safely, witnessed the ceremonies, and celebrated together. People at Harvard definitely know who we are, Polynesians (Pacific Islanders) with strong family support. Moanas professors were pleasantly impressed with the Island spirit of OFA. Some of her friends were in tears, because they felt something wonderful happening before their very eyes. It had been Moanas only request that her living Grandparents Sione Makaafi (age 90) and Tava Lotulelei (age 80) come to her graduation. From my side of the family, (Grandma Salome Uluave had passed away only five months ago at age 96. Grandpa Solomone Uluave in 1988), so my older sisters Fololini Havea and Lose Langi were there to represent and give their ongoing encouragement. Moreover, I am so grateful to all the friends who made the trip to express their love and support. The Uluave family wish all of you who attended or visited us on Facebook all the best in your pursuits of excellence. This historic educational accomplishment was worth all the sacrifices, time, efforts and money expended; both on Moanas part and those of families and friends. Thank you again for the warm acknowledgements, they mean the world to us your neighbor. We love you Moana for the person that you are, kind, smart, filled with gratitude and respect for the place where you came from, and the people who helped you succeed in your real life education. As for me, I fall into the category of people with very strong imagination. I was already tired before I went to Boston. So, I am glad to be back home in my own bed and corner of Salt Lake City. And frankly I said to myself, SELF eat three huge scoops of cold vanilla ice cream, sleep, get over the jet-lag then call me in the morning! Your dream came true. Cheers!
