I am posting this video to mark the 80th Birthday of the late great Elvis Aaron Presley, the undisputed King of Rock and Roll, who was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on this day back in 1935. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the twentieth century, Elvis was commercially successful in many genres; including pop, blues and gospel. He is currently the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music, with estimated album sales of around 600 million units worldwide. Elvis was nominated for 14 competitive Grammy Awards, of which he won three. He also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award at the age of 36, and over the years has been inducted into multiple music halls of fame. Here he is with the title track from the 1956 movie Love Me Tender, in which he made his big screen debut. I hope that you enjoy it.
