I am putting the suggested protocol for seasonal depression from the book the body blues to test, I get clearly depressed and tired when the sun goes out in the winter and here in Washington we can get 2 weeks or more of no sun shine at all The protocol suggests getting more light through a light box, brighter interiors but also getting exposed to natural sunlight even when its cloudy and rainy it still has more lumens than most houses and is still bright enough to alter the mood, I will still combine that with light box therapy, light has to get into ur eyes so no dark sunglasses Step 2 walking 20 minutes a day preferably outdoors but not a must, I ll take it deeper and run outside 2 times a week plus walk all other days Some reccomeded vitamins and supplements As for today I ran in this beautiful park and I feel great even thought there is no sun but my energy has peeked after that fresh air
