I am quite supportive of the vegan lifestyle and I think its imperative that every human should reflect about the questions of ethics, personal consumption and sustainability. But everyday this observation is rubbed into me, that on an average a vegan person is much more hateful, judgmental and intolerant, than a non-vegan person. Thank god for statistics that I know correlation does not equal causation, else I would have completely dissociated with vegetarianism/veganism myself. I think these redeemers should wonder whether this lifestyle choice is out of a lot of humbling self-reflection and empathy, or is it just the befitting cult of our times in which the people who are overwhelmed by their human urge to act as morally superior and browbeat others adhere to, now when previous cults of religion and nationalism have gone passe.
