I am re-posting this photo after a second and third look, along with the analysis I provided the photographer, hopefully for your edification This is one surreal landscape and Jes, Im not using the term surreal lightly. This is a work of photographic art. We all have our moments with the camera if we have the eye. This is a shot to be proud of. If I had a mountain fetish, this would do me in. As it is, with my eye, on the left side of the frame I see a home or four being retaken by nature. Some of the flora even looks as if its been planted. It would be a good place to live, until the rains came. If you crop the shot by horizontal halves, I see the flight of a great bird. Something a Native American might have imagined following natures suggestion. In the lower right quadrant the growth and its shadow produce a pipeline effect leading to the source. The lower half is a pyramid almost as perfect as those in the Nile Valley, with its tip serving the shot like the tip of the pyramid reminds me of the dollar bill symbol - the masonic symbol, but with no eye. It is agnostic. There is no end to the top, because it is really a path and I realize my eyes have deceived me. A surrealistic painting leads the viewer to such flights of fantasy as I just exhibited (or was I being satirical?). This photo does. Find the right contests and entire it. If I run across any information, I will share with you. Good work. Thanks for being there.
