I am really upset about what happened to my daughter today at the Wembley Mall in Parksville. Please be warned this is happening. Something very stressful happened this evening at Wembley Mall. I wasnt going to say anything but I felt perhaps I should send out a warning to other businesses ect in the surrounding area. (yesterday)Nov26) A man in his probably 39-45 age group, white, probably about 59, came into my little gift store & stood there asking me all sort of random questions. Meanwhile as an hour!!!! passed, he kept saying he was hanging out waiting for his wife & child to come out of Bargain Baazar! I was very uncomfortable as I was getting a very bad vibe from him. He was asking so do you only take cash here? oh did you have a busy day? very nosy questions and im getting all the red flags! The wife & kid never shows up, so he finally leaves as the mall was closing down soon. So now tonight same guy, same clothes shows up, using the same story about how his wife & kid r in the bargain shop & really want to come shop here, only again they never show up. He keeps taking cellphone calls & is sounding angry on the phone asking when they will get here? He seems agitated, then comes marching back in the store & standing right in front of my gold & Silver section, getting really close to it!! Starts pacing around the store then going back to the gold case. Finally I tell him he has to leave as I have a person coming to get pierced. He seems very stressed that I told him im closing down the store for awhile. Once my client was in the door I closed it, texted the lady across in the store from me to help! Because I was scared I was about to get robbed! She went to the store adjacent to mine & told them what was going on! They too agreed they were worried about this guys behavior marching in and out of my store for so long!! Store owner goes out & approaches this guy, & the guy was very defensive & asked if it was a crime to sit there? The store owner says, No, u are just making everyone nervous with your behavior & none of us recognize you. Owner of store takes out his phone & snaps his picture! The guy turns his head down so you cant see his face unfortunately. As soon as he does that the guy jumps up & takes off out the front doors! Then about 2 minutes later was spotting hopping the fence behind the construction area in Wembley mall heading away with no wife & child! Also I might add he told the owner of the store, that he was waiting for his girlfriend in save on so his story completed changed from what he kept telling me! OK so please keep your eye out for anything strange. if you get a bad feeling. DO NOT IGNORE IT!! Cops came, got description. grey jogging pants, Lighter blue shirt, hoodie or jacket. hard to remember. a hat & new looking work styled boots. 59 ish ...lighter hair I think. He told me he was here for 4 days with his wife & child from Tofino. Why would he be on foot?! Also heard of another robbery with a man and a woman for a debit machine today with a young child.??
