I am sad to announce that our beloved black cat, Lazor, passed away on Wednesday. We think he was at least 16 years old (and possibly more), which is a long life for a black cat. His life was a good one. He had a feisty spirit and reasonable quality of life until very near the end, when he weakened. He died due to complications of diabetes (after having been treated for it by us for 4 years). No cat was ever more loved and appreciated. He was our little angel (and occasionally, devil), who found us and made us his family. In the end, he taught us how to bear up to our own mortality. We miss him. His cat friend Yeller also misses him.
