I am saddened to inform you that my brother, Richard Oliveri, passed away Thursday morning July 31, 2014 after a brief, but heroic battle with cancer. Richard attended Saint Francis De Sales Elementary School in Patchogue, NY and Seton Hall High School also in Patchogue. He served in the US Navy and was stationed at Patuxent River, Maryland during the Korean Conflict. Richard was co-owner and operator of Oliveri’s Hair Studio in Sayville, NY until his retirement in 2006. A longtime resident of Medford, NY, Richard and his wife, Jean moved to Lake Wylie, SC upon his retirement. Richard is survived by his wife, Jean, and their three children, Deborah Oliveri of Lake Wylie, SC, Rick Oliveri of Rockford, IL and Jeff Oliveri of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren, Amber and Jeffrey and by one brother, Dr. Robert P. Oliveri of Fort Pierce, FL and one sister, Marcella J. Oliveri of Port Saint Lucie, FL. Funeral arrangements are being handled by M.L.
