I am sharing this from a post on another fB animal advocates page (Ann Breeden) and it is an issue dear to my heart. If you care about animal rights and advocacy, please, pease, PLEASE read this in its entirety and pass it on so a grievious wrong can be righted. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. judyxoxo >Ann, this is practically in my own back yard, and it appalls me. I have had a hard time convincing others across the country of these inhumane PETA practices and have even been called an uneducated idiot by commentors who cannot even begin to believe that PETA would be this reckless and cavalier with the lives of animals. One even told me to do some research because PETA doesnt have any animal shelters, they only promote animal advocacy campaigns. I set her straight with articles and documentation that has been gathered over the years on this issue. I will keep posting these articles and posting my own commentary on PETAs own animal advocacy posts in the hopes that this information will get through to all those people who are still supporting PETA without reservation. PETA is excellent at ad campaigns for animal advocacy but they need to be completely OUT of the animal shelter business! There is a strange disconnect for them between the two programs. Even in the area where their Norfolk, VA shelter is housed, there are organizations that provide this sheltering and rehoming service in a way that is so beyond PETAs methods that there is no comparison. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to educate a sometimes reluctant population to what is going on and needing to be addressed, concerning PETAs duplicity when it comes to caring for and about animals. Please expand the article below for more facts and info and links. And, again, Please pass this on.. . Lets get the word out once and for all and force PETA to shut down their animal shelters.
