I am sick to my stomach right now. RIP Robin. What an amazing man he was. I could never believe how he could be so down to earth when we would sit and talk at the Comedy Cellar. He was incredibly kind and humble. I will never forget the time I was on stage, on a Tuesday night, at 12am, and I heard someone screaming at me from the back of the room. I was so annoyed. The person kept telling out, yes, yes, you are hysterical. I put my hand over my eyes to block out the light so I could see who was yelling. It was Robin Williams. It was huge for me because I always respected him so much. He was a person that had what I wanted. When I got off stage, he came up to me in the back of the room. He hugged me. He told me I was brilliant, fearless, and he said, just keep doing what you are going. He was always someone I looked up to because he stayed true to himself, he stayed real after his success, and he loved the art of stand up. He was incredible to watch in stage. Sometimes comics would trash him because he was different. It is so hard to commit to your style no matter what other comics say. He did it. He was a tortured soul. Thats probably why he was so good. I will miss him dearly. This is such a tragedy. He was so silly. Always be silly. Life is so precious.
